The Lunz Group was announced as a 2020 ATHENA Award finalist. Presented by Junior League of Greater Lakeland, the ATHENA Awards recognize leadership, young professionals and organizations in the community.
Founded in 1982, more than 7,000 top leaders in over 500 communities have received the prestigious ATHENA award in nine different countries. The award celebrates the ATHENA mission of supporting, developing and honoring women leaders, inspiring women to achieve their full potential creating balance in leadership worldwide.
Organization qualifications include community involvement, support for professional women within the organization, support for women outside of the organization and community references.
“We are honored to be recognized alongside such incredible organizations in our community,” TLG President and CEO Brad Lunz said. “Our industry is a predominately male-driven field, and we recognize an opportunity for inclusion starting within our own organization. Today, we are proud that our company is represented by a diverse group of strong female leaders whom in fact account for more than half our staff. We actively support our young female leaders and provide them with opportunities to grow and excel in their field.”
Along with The Lunz Group, organization finalists include Lakeland Volunteers in Medicine (LVIM) and Pace Center for Girls. To read more, click here.
