The Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) named THE LEGO® MOVIE™ World at LEGOLAND® Florida Resort as a 2019 Eagle Award winner. The Lunz Group was proud to have worked with contractor Williams Construction Company Southeast on the project.
The ABC Eagle Award is the construction industry’s premier annual awards program, honoring innovative and high-quality construction projects and safety programs. The program recognizes the most outstanding projects of the year.
THE LEGO® MOVIE™ World was recognized in the $5-$10 Million “Entertainment Facilities” category as an Outstanding Major Theme Attraction. The 1.26-acre park incorporates several iconic features including themed building facades, rides, restaurants and more to create an immersive experience for guests. An existing water ride was re-themed into “Battle of Bricksburg” where riders work to spray down invading DUPLO® aliens to save the city. Restrooms and retail were also brought into the aesthetic of the city.
The park opened in March of 2019. The Lunz Group was happy to work with Merlin Entertainment Group and Williams Construction Company to design this one-of-a-kind experience for guests.
