Our employees have stepped up to assist our community, giving back in more ways than one. Over the course of the last month, Lunz employee Sarah Giles has been making masks for community members in need while also supporting local businesses.
Sarah works as a Project Coordinator at our Lakeland Kentucky Ave office. She made her first mask for her father who has an underlying health condition that makes him more susceptible to COVID-19. She created a prototype for him, and then took off from there! Sarah was then approached by her sister to make 12 masks for hospital care packages, and she was also contacted by a local cleaning company to make 25 masks for their employees who did not have protective masks due to the shortage.
Sarah has also been attempting to support local businesses as much as possible, noting Cob & Pen’s amazing family-style dinner menu and batched drinks. She has also pre-paid salon appointments that were cancelled and has purchased cookie making kits from a local baker, which makes for a great indoor activity with the family!
