The Lunz Group worked closely with the City of Lakeland on a three-part capital improvement to the City of Lakeland Government Complex.

The Lunz Group successfully led the city of Lakeland through the first major “fast track” building project in Polk County in which construction was commenced while drawings were still in process. Steve Boyington was the Job Captain who managed the process of keeping drawing coordinated and ahead of construction.

This project consisted of three major components:

  • A 40,000 S.F. addition to the Lakeland City Hall, which became the “fraternal twin” to the historic original, incorperating the City Commission Chamber.
  • An 100,000 S.F., ten-story administration building Lakeland Electric & Water including a secure 24 hour operation center
  • 518-Car Parking Garage
